In agriculture we are already aware of our relative rarity as an industry sector. It's a well worn and oft-repeated that farmers and ranchers make up less than 2 percent of the U.S. population. However, for some of us in ag, namely women actively engaging in farming, we're even more like diamonds in the rough-even fewer than 30 percent of farmers today are women. Interestingly, though, that number is on the rise. According to the USDA women-owned operated farms has doubled since 1982 to nearly 1 million.

Sarah Beth Aubrey leads individuals and organizations through change using proven strategies and processes she's developed over 20 years of strategic consulting work with agribusiness companies, rural utilities, entrepreneurs, and farmers. Having built and sold three businesses since 2003, she especially enjoys helping entrepreneurs launch new ventures or work to take their company to the next tier of success. DISCOVERING YOUR STRENGTHS, STRENGTHS FINDER (TM) SESSION

A perfect session for any group or team that has also just taken the Gallup Strengths Finder (TM) 34 strengths assessment tool. Works well when combined with pre-work, including the assessment, and pre-planning exercises for participants. 

This session can be 90 minutes to 3 hours and includes:
Strengths Finder Results presentation for the individual and aggregated team results, discussion and activities to demonstrate how to use strengths in teams and in core business areas of the company or organization, and goal setting time as individuals, or in business or team units considering how to leverage strengths to meet broader initiatives. 

Can add an additional 6-12 month follow through package with video coaching and accountability. 

 

BUILDING UPON YOUR STRENGTHS (GALLUP STRENGTHS FINDER (TM) ADVANCED)

For audiences already familiar with Gallup Strengths Finder (TM) assessment and already using strengths-based leadership, this advanced session is a great refresher program or can be used to push leaders to the next level of performance. 

Training session works well when combined with pre-work, including results of previously taken assessment, and pre-planning exercises for participants.

This session can be 90 minutes to 3 hours and include:
Strengths Finder Results presentation for the individual and aggregated team results, discussion and activities to demonstrate how to use strengths in teams and in core business areas of the company or organization, and goal setting time as individuals, or in business or team units considering how to leverage strengths to meet broader initiatives.

IMPORTANCE OF NETWORKING AND BUILDING PEER NETWORKS

This breakout-style session is perfect for junior leaders or for organizations going through change. It also works well early on in leadership development or training programs and can be used in conjunction with the advanced class to add activities and skill work to this more theory-based class. 

An overview of networking, perceptions around the topic of networking, how to avoid 'bad' networking, and the benefits of strong professional networks will be discussed. 

This session can be 45-90 minutes.

 

ADVANCED NETWORKING AND RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT PRINCIPLES

A great session for senior leadership teams or especially for sales training, this 90 minute training will provide new concepts and tools for advancing the professional network of the participants. 

Session works extremely well when combined with pre-work assessment from the speaker and questions for discussion sent before the class. Also works well as a component of a professional development plan for individuals and supervisors to use. 

Training will briefly overview principles of networking, use humor and audience participation to discuss experiences (positive and negative) with networking, and how to improve or build upon those. A major component of the session puts attendees to work examining their own current and 'goal' networks for people in them now, helps them identify who should be targeted to add to their network, and helps them develop a plan for using a professional network to advance their personal and company organizational goals.

 

YOUR STRATEGIC PLAN ON A PAGE (IN 1 HOUR OR LESS!)

A topic honed from 20 years facilitating strategic planning sessions for small groups, corporate teams, boards, and governmental groups, this session is built to get results fast! Participants should come ready to work--they will leave with a strategic plan on a page in less than 1 hour. 

Using the 5 key components of every strategic plan along with fast-paced, first-response activities from the facilitator, audience members will walk through the planning process in a way that is interesting, efficient, and fun. Not meant to take the place of (or make light of!) larger strategic planning initiatives, this session demonstrates the value of creating shorter-term plans, building in regular intervals to evaluate and achieve objectives, and encourages accountability from participants. 

A 60 minutes session by design, a 30-minute overview of strategic planning can also be added before the session for boards or groups new to the process, or to each other as a team.
